Custom Crazed - Marvelous Munny's by David Kraig

Down below is a post from a few weeks back where a feature article on newcomer to the whole custom vinyl toy scene was written, David Kraig, with his awesome "Red Skull" Munny. Well he is back and today he shares with us a killer combo! Based on the new stylized "Batman" and "Joker" recently featured in the new Batman Arkcam city video game. He drew inspiration from that character design and approached these customs using super sculpy, acrylic paint and a bit of leather !! I really do like the way how David is able to capture that cartoony nature, yet give it an edge. Hit up his site HERE for many more custom creations!

Newcomer to the whole custom vinyl toy scene, David Kraig, just sent over some info on one of his first pieces... yeah, you read that right... this is one of his first customs! This piece, titled "Red Skull", is a custom 7" Munny customized to resemble Captain America's arch nemesis... and David did a fantastic job! He used Super Sculpy for the sculpt and acrylic paint along with his air brush to put down some finishing touches! Some serious detail work went into this piece... just look at the clothing, and the face... WOW! He tells us that a "Captain America" will soon follow. I am looking forward to seeing more from him, and if you dig what you see, this piece is up for grabs HERE right now... a great custom to grab!

NFL NEWS - NY Giants release RB Brandon Jacobs

The Giants announced today that they have terminated the contract of running back Brandon Jacobs, an integral component of the teams that won Super Bowls XLII and XLVI.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Giants announced today that they have terminated the contract of running back Brandon Jacobs, an integral component of the teams that won Super Bowls XLII and XLVI.

Jacobs, 29, played seven seasons for the Giants. He holds the franchise record with 56 rushing touchdowns and is fourth in franchise history with 4,849 yards and fifth with 1,078 rushing attempts.

He also caught 80 passes for 730 yards and four touchdowns.

"Brandon has truly been a great Giant,” general manager Jerry Reese said. “These times are always very hard for me. We had a very good conversation today. We don't know what the future holds for Brandon, but we wish only the very best for him and his family."

“Brandon helped us win two world championships,” Coach Tom Coughlin said. “He always did what was in the best interest of team. No matter what you asked him to do, he performed and played in whatever role we asked him to perform. He really was a team player.

“I have always felt like Brandon could be counted on. He’s a guy that is very, very good in meetings for me. He pays attention. He picks up on the message. He loves the excitement of the game. He loves everything about it – the pregame routine, the talking to his teammates, trying to motivate his teammates. He loves every part of it. I have always felt like Brandon could be counted on.”

Jacobs joined the Giants as a fourth-round draft choice in 2005. He played in exactly 100 regular season games (starting 48). In 11 postseason games, Jacobs rushed for 464 yards and scored four touchdowns and caught eight passes, one for a score.

“They’re all great accomplishments,” Jacobs said. “I might be leaving, but my name will stay. The fans have been great for me. Everything has been good. A standup organization. I was very close with a lot of people in the organization. They’re all a bunch of great people. The Mara family, the Tisch family, everybody’s great. I just want to thank them for the opportunity that they’ve given me.

“But it’s time to move on. We tried, couldn’t reach an agreement. It’s been great, though. I can’t say anything negative about anybody in the organization. (Running backs coach) Jerald Ingram, hands down, probably the best coach I’ve ever experienced as an athlete. He knows so much about the game and I learned a lot from him as well.”

In 2011, Jacobs was second on the Giants (behind Ahmad Bradshaw) with 571 rushing yards on 152 carries, a 3.8-yard average. He ran for seven touchdowns. Jacobs ran for a season-high 101 yards and scored two touchdowns in a victory at Dallas on Dec. 11. In the 21-17 victory over New England in Super Bowl XLVI, Jacobs rushed for 37 yards on nine carries.

Jacobs became a 1,000-yard rusher for the first time in 2007, when he ran for 1,009 yards despite missing five games with injuries. The following season, he had career-high totals of 1,089 yards and 15 rushing touchdowns.

“It’s been a great ride,” Jacobs said. “It’s a great organization, a standup organization. I had fun. Won two Super Bowls here. I accomplished a lot in my career as a professional athlete here. That’s it. It’s been a good ride. Time to move on.”

Re-Blog : George Carlin's 7 Dirty Words

Title: George Carlin's 7 Dirty Words
Size: 12" x 24"
Medium: Acrylics on Canvas

So .. I found this Blog from Artist - Augie Pagan
This is TOTALLY AMAZING ART !!
I have to get a hold of one of these !!!
George Carlin had a tremendous influence on me.
Here is a post from his Blog.

If you're a comedian and have never watched any of George Carlin's stand up, I feel like that's akin to a fantasy illustrator never bothering to look at any of Frank Frazetta's paintings. Carlin was a master comedian and word smith, and his body of work still hasn't been touched to this day (14 HBO specials, son!).

The routine he was most remembered for was his list of seven dirty words, and here they are, on canvas (and in order) for tonight's "Is This Thing On? 2" at Gallery 1988. You can watch Carlin break down his list and how he came to the seven words here in his stand up routine or you can watch him explain it to Chris Rock in this interview.

George Carlin also saved me from what I thought would be a boring speech class I had to take in high school. Being social and talking in from of big crowds was not on my list of fun things to do in high school. When I found out we had to do a speech or monologue in front of the whole speech class, I was beyond petrified, but also had no idea what to pick. I loved listening to my share of comedy albums growing up, and those guys talked in front of crowds. Would that be acceptable to do for this assignment? I asked my teacher if I could do a monologue from one of Carlin's stand up routines. Thank god she said yes. All of a sudden, homework was fun for a change. I ended up memorizing the opening bit from Carlin's special, "Playing With Your Head", mixed in some other bits from that show (don't be mad George) and only kept one bad word in at the end for a good closer. Luckily, I didn't mess up, and because they were George Carlin's beautifully strung together words, it was a hit, and I passed the class. So, thank you George Carlin, for making homework fun, helping me pass speech class, making our English language interesting, and for making us laugh.
