Movies that you have to see !!!
LET IT RIDE
Richard Dreyfuss at his Comic BEST !!
He drinks. He smokes. He gambles. He curses. He thinks about committing adultery. You'll love him.
An average kind of guy who has a slight problem with gambling goes to the track, and mystically, it seems as though he can't lose, no matter how he bets; and he has an incredible day.
Let it Ride was filmed at Hialeah Race Course in south Florida during the tracks' off season. Racing was being conducted at nearby Calder Race Course, and Dreyfuss was spotted on several occasions, presumably researching his role as Trotter. Unfortunately, this classic track is now closed, although there is an ongoing rumor that it may reopen at some point.
A wonderful comedy! Richard Dreyfuss is having a very good day and so do I whenever I see this movie. Such characters! You WILL to root for Trotter if not for his band of misfit hanger-onners. And Jennifer Tilly does what Jennifer Tilly does best. I can't find a single thing wrong with this movie, and it held my attention and completely entertained. I give it a 10.
