Actually it's a buck and a quarter quarterstaff .. but I'm not telling him ..

Oh privy .. traveling jester .. would you like to see FunKo make more cool Looney Toons .. ??

"Ho! Haha! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Ha - THRUST!" *boiing*

Yoiks and away ... *splat*

We are treated to getting a sneak peak at some vinyl sets scheduled to be coming in Feb `09. Just in time for Toy Fair.

Just in the conception stages .. but looking awesome are Daffy Duck and Porky Pig in the famous rendition of Robin Hood.

Daffy's Song
Oh, join up with me, so joyous and free
And away to old Sherwood [hie],
For I'm Robin Hood, and I'm very good
At avoiding the Sheriff's eye.
So we'll trip along merrily,
O'er the greensward so gracefully,
To trip it, trip it, trip it, trip it,
Trip it up and down,
To trip it, trip it, trip it, trip it,
So trip it up and down.

Then .. of course .. not to be believed .. from like the Top 5 of All-Time Looney Toons cartoons ..

Only seen in one cartoon .. he was the imp that battled Bugs Bunny a mile high ..

Falling Hare is a 1943 Merrie Melodies cartoon directed by Robert Clampett, starring Bugs Bunny. The title is another play on "hair", as "falling hair" refers to impending baldness, while in this cartoon's climax, the title turns out to be descriptive of Bugs' situation.

Within the cartoon are several contemporary pop culture references, including to Wendell Willkie, John Steinbeck's novel Of Mice and Men and the folk songs "Yankee Doodle," "I've Been Working on the Railroad," and the Russian folk song "Dark Eyes." Bugs' Gremlin nemesis also makes a reappearance in the 1990 cartoon Tiny Toons episode Journey to the Center of Acme Acres with two look alikes as the secondary antagonists of the episode. The Gremlin holds the distinction, along with Cecil Turtle, of being one of the very few antagonists to actually and completely outsmart and rattle Bugs.

INCREDIBLE .. ain't it !!!

Things I miss ..

This was the best cereal EVER ..!!!
Wikipedia's definition -
Buc Wheats Cereal was a boxed cereal produced by General Mills throughout the 1970s and early 1980's. The cereal consisted of toasted flakes of wheat (originally also with buckwheat) with a sweet maple-flavored glaze baked onto them.

There was nothing better then getting a huge clump of cereal all stuck together. Who needed milk .. or fruit .. this cereal was soaked in maple syrup !!! AWESOME !!!

A High Nutrition cereal too .. imagine that .. soaked in maple syrup ..!!!

The greatest candy bar EVER !! 15 inches of chocolate and caramel .. that's right 15 inches !! How did you know that you say .. there was a ruler on the back of the package. Brach's now makes a cheap knockoff called the Curly Wurly .. it just doesn't taste the same.
Mars - M&M's had a real winner with the Marathon Bar. Great ad campaign also .. how could you not buy this candy from John Wayne's son.
He may not look like a candy salesman .. but who cares this candy was so much better than any other .. it had to be put on the counter at 7-11. It was too big for the candy aisle !!
You could freeze it .. bust it up .. and it would last a long long long time. Enjoy it a little at a time ..

More on candy I miss .. the REGGIE BAR was amazing.
Yes .. another huge candy bar .. I like my candy large and in charge. It wasn't on the shelf long enough for me .. if Babe Ruth could still have the Baby Ruth out there .. there is room on the shelf for the REGGIE BAR !!

I miss my Velva Print .. Velvet Blacklight .. Posters .. I had them covering every part of the walls in my room .. and had an 18" tube blacklight lit up most of the time ..

Before McDonald's Big Mac.. before the Burger King Whopper .. there was the SUPERBURGER !!

They were all over Long Island .. Nathan's took over there locations when they went out of business .. but they had great burgers. Yes .. they were SUPER !!!

My grandparents used to take me there .. imagine getting 2 Whoppers for 79 cents. That's how big the SuperBurger's were .. maybe even BIGGER !!

The chain was known for its 15-cent burgers, its signature burger was the Big W, and 10-cent fries, and had the slogans "LOOK FOR THE ORANGE CIRCLES" and "BUY THEM BY THE BAGFULL".Wetson's also had two clown mascots, Wetty (female) and Sonny (male), in the style of McDonald's Ronald McDonald. At its peak, Wetson's had approximately 70 locations in the the greater New York metropolitan area.

and now for something completely different .. Funny Faces

Well .. maybe not completely .. since they did start me collecting FunKo .. Funny Faces Drink Mixes from Pillsbury.

Yes .. Pillsbury .. they are not from Kool Aid .. Funny Faces started back in the 60's and stayed strong in the market place through the 70's.

Lots of Funny Face merchandise has been around .. and keeps coming out. I have been a collector of Funny Face since way before I heard of FunKo. In fact they are the first wacky wobblers I bought back in September 2002, these are the pictures from that eBay auction actually.

These are some of those originally aired commercial .. the first one which has now been banned .. it is not politically correct for today's standards ..

I collect it all .. from Goofy Grape Sings albums .. drinking cups .. pitchers .. to the old walkers that were a mail-away offer on the original packs .. and the full packs themselves.

I have even mde some of my own custom Funny Face stuff .. my favorite t-shirt is pictured below. The custom craze hit Funny Face collector's long ago .. yes those PEZ are a custom set .. and the stack of packets on the shelf are pack magnets that are custom made. The Rah Rah Root Beer & Captain Black Cherry wacky wobblers are customs too.

All the images were pulled from the original packs .. I just had to fix them to be the whole characters. Usually they had a drinking glass with a straw in it in from of them.

Lately .. on eBay .. there is a seller who has been selling custom made throw pillows of the characters. With my limited resources lately I have only been able to score the Lefty Lemon. They have looked great .. especially the Injun` Orange .. and I have saved the pictures from the auctions.

I'm going to try to win more of his auctions .. but I have to get real lucky since there are quite a few collector's trying to score these.

There are other projects that have gone bust over the years .. but these characters are just too cool to let die. New walkers were supposed to be made .. this picture is of the prototypes for 5 or 6 years ago ..

Even a new cartoon project has been started recently ..
by Renegade Animation .
Personally .. I think they look great and a new generation of kids will love them .. just like I loved them years ago .. and still do today ..
Maybe even one day I will be able to get a hold of one the "Holy Grails" of Funny Face collecting .. the Drink Stand !!
I do have a friend that has it set up in there toy room .. looks great .. and I will have to get a picture to share with you all .
I certainly could have used a Drink Stand over the summer .. to raise some cash to buy more toys. I would have broke out those canisters on my shelf and make some Choo Choo Cherry and Freckleface Strawberry !! They are only 30 years old after all !!

SleeStock is Coming !!

It's Sleestak Mania .. !! They are everywhere .. even though the movie won't be out until at least June'09 .. SLEESTAK's !!!

FunKo has lead the way with cool products for the upcoming Will Farrell movie .. Land Of The Lost.

Although we saw all the cool Sleestak's at Comic Con in San Diego this year .. they have been coming out way before July. With the over 6 Foot Sleestak display looking over the booth .. we attracted tons of fans of the old show .. and even some of the actors from the upcoming movie.

We met these guys wandering around the Con .. finding out they are playing two of the many Sleestaks in the film.
They are coming Will .. the Sleestak's are coming ..
the Sleestak's are COMING !!

Look out behind you .. !! Damn that's a lot of Sleestak's .. I'd hate to be him right now !! The mania is hitting people everywhere .. especially with Halloween right around the corner. Besides FunKo .. lots of other companies have jumped on the Sleestak bandwagon.

Some of the extremely cool things I have found are pictured down below .. let's hope we see even more Sleestak hitting the toy market soon !! We should since it will be a while before the movie hits the theaters !! Sleestak Mania .. CATCH IT !!!

Sleestak's have been around for a long long time .. they have even become political. So .. if you haven't decided which moron to vote for in two weeks .. you might want to use your right to write in your own candidate !!

Can Sleestak or Enik possibly do any worse than Dubya !!
I Don't Think So !!!

You decide .. but I still think we live in ..
