Movie News - Die Hard 5 : A Good Day to Die Hard

A Good Day to Die Hard, the fifth installment of the Die Hard franchise, is inching towards reality, but still has some pretty big holes to fill. Bruce Willis set to return as the heroic John McClane, John Moore is directing and Jai Courtney is playing McClane's son, but what about the other side of the law? Who will be playing the big baddies? Variety has the answer to that question.

Sebastian Koch and Yulia Snigir have signed on to play villains in A Good Day To Die Hard. Koch, who was born in Germany, has had a long career in German cinema, but is likely best known to American audiences for his role in the Oscar winning The Lives of Others. Snigir, on the other hand, is a relative newcomer, as she only started acting in 2006. The characters they will be playing are named Komorov and Irina.

The story at the center of the film finds John McClane flying out to Russia to rescue his son, Jack, who has landed himself in prison. Upon getting Jack out, however, John discovers that there is a terrorist plot in the works and it becomes up to the father and son duo to save it.

Here's a fun fact: did you know that more and more movies are being set in Russia nowadays thanks to its growing film market and potential to add large numbers to international box office totals? You don't suppose that has anything to do with this particular movie being set in Russia, though...right?
