The next James Bond adventure, Skyfall, has been in production for a couple of months now, but if you think that means that they have completed their cast roster then you are mistaken. Apparently director Sam Mendes was thinking that his upcoming film didn't have enough Bond Girls, with Bérénice Marlohe and Naomie Harris already on board, so he's added a third.
MI6 has confirmed that Greek actress Tonia Sotiropoulou has been brought on board for Skyfall. The actress let everyone know the good news by leaving a message on her Facebook wall reading, "Dear friends I officially announce I got a part in J. Bond new film!!! Turkey here I come! Thank u all for you love and support! This is officially the happiest day of my life bitches!!!!" She is on her way to Istanbul now where the fansite says she will be spending five days shooting two or three scenes. What's interesting about the hiring is that the actress was originally up for the role of Sévérine, which ended up going to Bérénice Marlohe. The casting director liked her so much, however, that they found a place for her in the movie.
Skyfall sees Daniel Craig return as Bond for the third time on film along with the aforementioned Marlohe and Harris, Dame Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Helen McCrory, Ola Rapace and Ben Whishaw. The story sees the trust between Bond and M shattered when and old secret comes back to haunt the MI6 leader. In the meantime, a devastating threat poses to bring an end to the organization and it is up to Bond to stop it.

Tarot cards do occasionally show up in feature films; they featured rather prominently, in fact, in the James Bond flick Live and Let Die (1973). It's fun to see the cards on the big screen, but also dismaying to see that scriptwriters never bother consulting a tarot card reader, an obvious fact based on Hollywood's apparent belief that the Death card must mean "death" and the Hanged Man card must mean - you guessed it - a "hanged man."

The very popular "Tarot of the Witches" Deck and set, made popular by Jane Seymore in the 007 Movie "Live and Let Die" back in the early 70?s. This deck has remained popular to this day. It has not been jaded by the connection with the movie, only enhanced it would seem. Therefore it MUST, be a very usable deck
The notes packed with the cards identifies this deck as the one featured in the James Bond film, Live & Let Die. These are very modest witches - no sky-clad frolics for them. They are also 1980's witches with big, big shoulder pads. Unlike some witch/pagan decks, these cards do not reveal much about pagan ritual. This is a Marseilles-type deck, not only in the minor arkana cards, but in court cards & major arkana as well. Try as you might there are few if any overt stories on these cards, though some of the symbols may hint at more to those who know how to read them. The US Games catalog says the images are dreamlike fantasies in a surreal style & we agree.
Kaplan includes notes on how covens are structured: Five male/female couples, representing the ten pip (suit) cards, plus the high priestess (queen) & her consort, the knight. The final couple is a king as warlock & the page as a witch in training, though the notes are unclear if the training will result in a high priestess (in which case, her consort, the king, becomes a knight), or as a member of the pips, in which case the king becomes another pip. Or maybe she finds another consort. In either case, guys, this is not the patriarchy with which we're familiar.
